My Favorite Albums vol.1
Updated: Nov 1, 2021
『The Joshua Tree / U2』
Of all the artists I've actually seen in concerts, the band "U2" that impressed me the most.
Needless to say, their masterpiece "The Joshua Tree" was also a big hit in Japan when I was still a student.
I remember being drawn in strongly to this album when I was about 18 years old.
The catharsis felt from the intro of the first song "Where the streets have no name" is an uplifting feeling that is hard to describe!
The second song "I still have'nt found what I'm looking for" is a simple but large-scale song that is gospel-style.
The third song "With or without you" is my favorite song that I sometimes cover and sing. It was difficult to translate the lyrics into Japanese and interpret them, but I sing with my own interpretation.
I can spend the whole day listening these three songs in a loop.
This album contains many songs with a large-scale world view, such as "Bullet the blue sky" and "One tree hill," which sets it apart from ordinary popular songs.
I feel that this work is a work of a true artist.
I want young people to listen to it!
